NEED FOR ART EDUCATION

Participation in the Arts develops positive life skills that spill over in many ways. Participation in the arts allows us to discover and nurture strength in kids that would otherwise lie dormant or be channelled into negative behaviours. The arts open doors to self-discovery.

The arts elevate the educational experience and encourage the development of life skills, including discipline, creative problem-solving, analytical thinking, compassion, listening skills and tolerance among others. The arts open kids’ hearts and minds, and studies show that arts actually enhance kids’ success in math, language and science.
Art provides platform for creativity, fuel their imagination and help produce dynamic, talented individuals our economy needs. At home it would be of a great benefit to turn kids’ playtime into creative activities which will open them to exploration, critical thinking and practical creative skill acquisition.
Art education helps prepare young ones to communicate and express their understanding in myriad of ways, kinaesthetic, visual, auditory, verbal and written modes. The complexity of that engagement develops other set of skills, and abilities, such as commitment to hard work, disciplined attention to detail, being able to imagine solutions and recognizing ways to turn failure to success.
